Mainly concerning his long association with the University at Berkeley, as professor and chairman, Philosophy Dept., as chairman, Art Dept., as assistant dean of College of Letters and Science, as member of many key academic and administrative committees, and, after retirement, as member of advisory committees on San Diego and Santa Cruz campuses. Comments on many important events, including 1919 "faculty revolution" and loyalty oath controversy. Photographs and clippings inserted; reprints and copies of articles appended.
